What to do if you have some text that you want to wrap when its container becomes too small, but it contains no spaces.

I ran into this when I was looking for a reliable way to wrap the site title vandenbos.org, without using any JavaScript.

It comes down to this:

If you have control over the content you want to wrap, the solution is to place zero-width spaces in strategic places.

That looks like this: vandenbos.org.

So now, when that string needs to wrap, it will do so between ‘vandenbos’ and ‘.org’. And the great thing is that that space is invisible when not wrapped. Yay!
